After searching far and wide, Jim and Sharon have managed to find the perfect location to base Lakeview Monkey Sanctuary, a secluded spot in 10 acres of Berkshire woodland. 

In 2004, the monkeys were moved to their new home, a mammoth task on its own, but the real work has only just started.  The next phase of the operation is to create an enclosure for the monkeys within the woods using the trees as a natural canopy.  Plans have been drawn up, but there are still many hours of head-scratching to be done and months - even years - of fundraising before the perfect solution and the finances are in place. When the monkeys are in the trees, living in troupes and as free and as natural as possible, all the hard work will have been justified.
